South Weber City contracts with Robinson Waste to haul the City’s waste to the Wasatch Integrated Waste Management District.
Click here to find out when is garbage day for your home. Please place your can at curbside by 6:00 a.m. on your collection day. All refuse must be placed inside the can. Place the container in the street with the wheels against the curb or within 2 feet of the blacktop if no curb exists, with the front of the container facing the street. Containers must be placed 4 feet apart and 8 feet from mailboxes, poles, fences, trees, or parked vehicles for easy access. Do not place cans under low trees or other overhead obstructions. To facilitate better snow removal and mail delivery, and to reduce pranks and vandalism, bring garbage cans in from the street as quickly as possible after disposal. If your garbage can is lost, stolen, or damaged, you will be required to pay approximately $65 for a replacement.
Garbage cans are provided to residential customers by the City. Each can has a serial number that connects it to a specific address.
Cost for a garbage can is $14.67 per month. When you move, please do not take your garbage can with you. An additional can (maximum of 2 per residence) can be obtained for $8.74 per month by calling 801.479.3177, but must be retained by the customer for a minimum of four months. If your garbage can is lost or stolen you will be required to pay approximately $65 for a replacement.
Garbage collection does not take place on the following holidays:

New Residential Recycling Program
To help extend the life of the Davis Landfill, South Weber will be implementing a new Residential Recycling Program. We are excited to make it easier than ever to reduce waste, protect our environment, and plan for the future of our community.
Who will be part of this program?
All residents in South Weber will start off in the program–that means everyone gets recycling can!

What is the program?
Every residential address gets a blue recycling can that will be picked up every other week at the curb, similar to your weekly black garbage can pick up.
When is the program starting?
Pick up begins Monday, June 30. Cans will be delievered to residents in the last 2 weeks of June.

Why are we implementing this program now?
There is an urgency to extend the life of the landfill by diverting as much waste as possible, and there’s no time like the present to get started. South Weber’s rollout is in line with a regional effort throughout the district to take advantage of limited-time financial incentives to implement a recycling program.
Garbage Recycling Rates
The following table shows the monthly rates for waste services, including the new recycling program. It also highlights what residents would have paid if the city had not implemented the program.

**By adopting the recycling program now, South Weber is able to take advantage of a limited-time financial incentive. Without this program, garbage-only rates would have increased due to rising disposal costs and landfill capacity concerns.

Garbage pickup will occur as normal, but every other week (starting the week of June 30) don’t forget to set your recycling can out with your black garbage can. For a map of pick up days, click here.
Recycling Guidelines
Put all recyclable items loose in your blue rollout recycling cart. There’s no need to sort recyclables, and they should not be bagged. Ensure all recyclables fit inside the cart with the lid closed. Keep any extra materials for the next collection or drop them off at a recycling station.
Only recyclable materials should be placed in the blue recycling cart. Trash and garbage go to the landfill in the black garbage cart. Green waste should be placed in the green cart.
